Blocked in to starve.

This tiny fox cub's only crime was to be born in the wrong garden.  Without any thought for the welfare of the foxes, the hole under the man's shed where the vixen had set up home for her cubs was blocked by him.  Since the vixen could not return to her cubs, they slowly starved.  One cub was rescued after the hole was unblocked but due to its condition, it died on the way to the vets.
Thankfully now, to knowingly fill in an earth with foxes inside could lead to a heavy fine or a prison sentence.  Unfortunately for this and the other fox cubs, this law was introduced just a little bit too late.
